General This is a salary exempt position. The primary responsibilities are to develop, design, program, and test electrical control systems for industrial machine control, factory automation, and plant data collection. The position will require working with PLC's, computers, AutoCAD, motor control systems, and general industrial controls. In addition to the specific requirements, one area of specialization is required. Salary is based on education, experience, and areas of specialization.
Specific Requirements 1) Project planning 2) Project Management (manage small projects, including budget, from kickoff meeting to final review meeting, according to Loman guidelines) 3) Participate in research for quotations 4) Participate in establishing and maintaining the Loman Procedures Manuals, as well as other internal projects to enhance the company 5) Attend meetings with customers (i.e. Project Kick-off, Review Meetings, etc.) 6) Work on a project team with other Loman employees 7) Write Functional Specifications for customer projects 8) Use AutoCAD to do control panel layout drawings and elementary wiring diagrams 9) Select industrial controls hardware and create a Bill-of-Materials 10) PLC programming 11) HMI Programming 12) AC Motor Drive (VFD) Applications 13) Motion Control Applications 14) Plan and supervise electrical system installations 15) Project Documentation preparation 16) Customer Training 17) On-Site Work: Study machines and processes, startup and test 18) Emergency Field ServiceThis may occur occasionally during non-standard work hours. General This is an hourly position. The primary responsibilities are assembly and wiring of electrical control panels and also doing machine wiring in our client's facilities. Specific Requirements 1) Ability to read and understand electrical elementary wiring diagrams 2) Ability to read and understand electrical control panel layout drawings 3) Accurately locate and mount devices in and on panels, based on the layout drawings supplied. 4) Wire custom PLC control panels, motor starter panels, and other machine control panels per an elementary wiring diagram. 5) Perform electrical testing of completed panels. This involves working with energized control panels where there is a risk of electrical shock. This person must be knowledgeable of these risks and be capable of identifying them to avoid the shock hazard. 6) Mount and install electrical and related equipment at the client's facility. This is light-duty electrical construction work, and may require you to cut, thread, bend and install galvanized rigid conduit up to 1" diameter. 7) Assist engineers during testing, either in the shop or in a client's facility. 8) Perform heavy lifting and transporting of bulky electrical control panel assemblies. 9) Possess a reasonable knowledge of the NEC (National Electrical Code) 10) Possess a reasonable knowledge of the NFPA 79, "Electrical Standard for Industrial Machinery". |
